Rev. Maude Largin was a visionary leader who inspired faith in those who followed her ministry. She and her husband Bill, who owned a plumbing company, began having services on McDonough Avenue in 1956.

Rev. Jim and Glenda Whitlock pastored the church from 1968 until 1988. During this time the building was heavily damaged by a tornado.

During 1989, Rev. Don Anderson was pastor and relocated the facilities to 2230 Rex Road in Morrow, Georgia.

In November of 1989 Rev. James F. Richter was asked to pastor. He accepted as interim pastor until their January business meeting.At that meeting he was elected by a 100% vote.
